Re: Bad breath drooling and stomach gurgling

She had 0.35ml of Metacam. I googled it and it says its a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug.

Re: Bad breath drooling and stomach gurgling

Well, Ruby is back to square one.
We have spent four hundred pounds on VET bills and nothing. The last anti inflammtory drug was a complete watse of time. The vets say they are baffled and now won't return our calls!

Any thought please?

Shall we forget the vets and accept she will be like this?
Get a fresh opinion and go through all this again?

Could it be Polyps?

Who knows
Thanks, as always, for reading this and replying, your thoughts comfort us.

I would change Vets and maybe vet ask for a referral to a specialist, how rude and unprofessional to not take your calls.

Re: Bad breath drooling and stomach gurgling

Oh dear! I'm so sorry to hear this.

They vets saying they are 'baffled' is completely unacceptable in my view! At the very least they could consult with a specialist on your behalf or offer a referral, considering Ruby has been a patient of theirs and they've hit a stonewall regarding her treatment. Last time if the flush didn't work, they offered to do an X-ray and have a look with an endoscope so why not now?

I would go elsewhere, explain the treatments she's had so far! I'm hoping that a longer course of perhaps a different antibiotic initially is all that's required in the first instance. If you remember I was a bit surprised she wasn't on a longer course after the nasal flush.

Also I would start by asking the new vets to focus on her teeth first this time. Sometimes a root abscess can cause the symptoms you describe.
