Cat eyes

Hello,

please dont think i'm a bad mum but about half an hour go I was eating my dinner when my cat jumped up so i smacked his nose which happened to be quite hard and he ran off. I then when to find him and his one pupil is really big an other really small. I'm really worried.

Have i hurt him?

its possible. is he squinting as well as the pupil being smaller? do you have him in full light? Uneven pupil dilation after a blow = concussion, you should really ring your vets as soon as you can please. as a concussion can be serious if not assessed.

oh and you're not a bad mum just learning. accidents happen. just get puss seen to and don't let him go to sleep until you speak to the vets. if vomiting, fainting or fitting starts you need to take him to the vets ASAP but you should be able to ring your out of hours vets for free advice.
