Question blocked up kitten

one off our 9 wk old kittens is abit consitpated, tmi but you can feel and c that its blocked up
He's been on the same dry food since being weaned no changes, i did try giving him wet food afew times but that gave him the runs !
He is the run off the litter very small white with blue eyes but not deaf ! he is still suckling from mum and drinks his water well.
he will be going to the vets when they re open on tue unless he looks like hes in pain ect then will find an emergency vets. but any ideas do you think should try sardines or something ?
thanx for reading

Re: blocked up kitten

hhmmmm go to a vet and see what they say, is there any noticeable differences between him and the rest of the litter ( e.g weird behaviour)?

Re: blocked up kitten

hes booked in for tuesday morning at the vets !
He is quite abit smaller than the rest off the kittens, hes also more cuddly and the only one not to come running when we put down food. But he does run around and play with the other kittens and toys ect 2

Re: blocked up kitten

Is he producing any stool at all? How much is he eating exactly? it could well be he's not eating a lot hence the lack of them.

If none at all I would be inclined to switch him back to the wet and see what the response is. Otherwise a vet visit.

Re: blocked up kitten

I certainly feel the dry food isn't helping if he's like this. Perhaps he's not drinking as much as the others. However, if this isn't the case there may be a medical reason but I'd look to the food in the first instance!
