Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and would like to talk to someone
that knows the in's and ou't's of how to deal with a newly blind cat.
Sammy our cat became blind this past Monday. The cause the vet told us was her renal failure which she has had for the past 3 years. When we took her in to the vet he saw that both eyes had detached retinas. He recently bought a blood pressure machine for dogs and cats and Sammys reading was 268/190. We started her on BP meds. She also had a swelling next to the rectum which was lanced and we were told to put this animax into the opening. She seems to be adjusting some but I would like to talk to others that have had to deal with blindness. Thank you. sorry for the long post.
