MRI Scans

My lovely big Tabby Cat Oliver has gone blind. He is just 9 years old.
Having been to the vets 3 times in the last 4 days we now know its not actually his eyes that are the problem, it is most likely a neurological problem.
They are going to do some more blood tests tomorrow, but the only way they say we will definitely find out whats the cause is a MRI scan. They say the cost is around £500 which is bad enough, but then an operation would be around £5000.
Bottom line is I can't afford that! The scan maybe but the £5000 no way.
I just wondered if anyone knows of anywhere that does stuff cheaper!
This is a pic of him with his brother!
Thank You in advance

Re: MRI Scans

Oh - poor baby. He was not insured than? May be your Vet - or whoever referred you to MRI scan - could find a chipper one for you? Or - can they arrange a monthly payment for it?
