Re: Inoculations for kittens

I paid £43 thats inc. the vat for the whole course, not including leukeamia as mine dont get that one. there isnt just one at 10 week old to complete the course you have one at 10 week then the second one 3 weeks after. The following year you only need the one booster which is about half the price. C.x.

Re: Inoculations for kittens

I always thought needles were meant to be done at 9 & 12 weeks. It depends on your area how much you pay

I think we charge £29.00 for the Tricat and Felv/Tricat is £35

we do it anywhere within 9 to 12 weeks two to three weeks between 1st and 2nd vacc. Usually three with the Felv or with older cats having to restart the course.

Re: Inoculations for kittens

it isn't that important when the first vacc. is done, as long as the 2nd is done at 12 weeks or later. If it's done earlier, then the panleukopenia vaccine may not be totally effective due to persistent maternal immunity. In fact the recommendation now is for a 3rd vaccine at 16 plus weeks for multi cat breeding households, rescue catteries etc. I don't actually know anyone who does this though!
