Sneezing kitten

My little Rosie started sneezing yesterday and she is still sneezing today, when she sneezes you can see liquid in her nose.
She is fine in herself, eating playing and otherwise acting normal.
Her eyes are clear she doesn't sound wheezy and her bowels are normal.

Should I be worried about it or just watch for a few days?
She is now 16 weeks old.

Thanks guys
xx

Re: Sneezing kitten

hi hun if you are worried at all i would call the vets, it may be the start of a cold/allergy or it maybe nothing? but you have other cats with her and if it is anything its best to get it sorted out a s a p as you dont want the others coming down with anything??

Re: Sneezing kitten

Hi there,

My Audrey is the same - she has been sneezing now for 3 months! She's had various antibiotics including synulox, and i've tried L-Lysine but nothing has worked.

I took her back to the vets last night and they have given her a 2 week course of tablet form ab's which are quite strong and my vet is sure these will work - these are Ronaxan 20mg.

She is fine in herself though and has shown no signs of illness apart from the sneezing and discharge from her nose. To be honest i would take Rosie to the vets just to safe.

Re: Sneezing kitten

Brilliant - they'll probably give her the '48hr' antibiotic injection to start with, this didnt work for Audrey so if Rosie is still sneezing after this injection i'd push to have her on a longer course of antibiotics - especially if the discharge continues.

Do let us know how you get on though, i'd be interested to see what your vet diagnoses! I'm on a mission to get rid of Aud's!!

Re: Sneezing kitten

He didn't really say much at all.
Had a good look at her and said she looked in good health but he could see her nose was a bit wet and gunky.

He gave her synulox tablets - 6 tablets 1/2 tablet twice a day so she is on them for 6 days, if there is no improvement then take her back.
