fleas

Our house is full of the little pest.

We are using Acclaim to kill the fleas on the furniture and such but the problem lies with the cats, we had flea collars on them when they got the fleas and they had some of wilkinsons own flea killer but it didnt work and says dont try for 28 days.

Some of the fleas now seem to be immune to the acclaim spray.

what can i do?

Re: fleas

Staykill is very good, one can does a whole house.

I would get rid of the flea collars there a waste of money, frontline or stronghold are alot better.

Frontline stuff is good for cats, or bath them in flea shampoo, if your house is that bad, the council will come out and fumigate it for you

I totally agree with you. I used frontline with mine and it was fab. I found flea stuff on sale in shops was useless better of getting it from the vet. Although some places stock it now.

i didnt no that, when we moved a couple of years ago the new house was full of fleas. They must of been in the carpets or something.

I washed everything and used the staykill and frontline, did the trick

You need to get some flea spray from the vets for your home and adequate flea treatment for your pets.

Then you need to spray ALL soft furnishings ie carpets, sofas etc including pet bedding. Leave product as directed. Then you need to do a back breaking vacuum. Vacuum all ya floors, all soft furnishings, move out all furniture and vac under it, vacuum literally every hook, crook and cranny.

Other wise fleas will be itching ya fanny LMAO

Re: fleas

Go for the big names like Frontline or Stronghold from vets or PatH, supermarket and other pet shop stuff is a waste of money and not long-term effective. Staykill works on floors and carpets and rugs, I had them in the house about 6 years ago and they've never been back since after Staykill

Re: fleas

you can also use RIP fleas or Indorex for the house, we get Indorex from the vets as well as Stronghold for our kitties. Never had a flea problem.
