Red face Bad Breath

Hi Guys

My blue burmese who is now 6 months has really bad breath and sometimes passes wind - and it stinks!! None of my other cats do this.

Do u think she may have a sensitive tummy - or is it more likely to be teeth problems as its her breath being the main problem?

Re: Bad Breath

Hi Saffron

2 of mine have horrible breath but I think it is where they are babies and teething because they finish teething at 6/7 months and this can cause their breath to smell awful!!!

It can also be caused by a stomach infection from what my vet told me becaue my MILs cat had awful breath which coincided with awful diarrhoea too! They both cleared up at roughly the same time though

Fantastic - i hadnt thought about the teething thing! And she is still teething cos she lost a fang the other day!
If it doesnt clear up after the teething has finished, then i will get her checked over.

She doesnt have diarrhoea - just if i give her anything other than royal canin, she passes smelly wind! LOL

Re: Bad Breath

My candi used to have bad gas and loose stools when on a certain dry food. Now she is back on the usual she is fine. Both problems now sorted.

Oh that sounds so familiar!!

Don't worry hun - my Toby gets bouts of that - usually when he eats too much or too fast lol xx

reminded me of one time where i was sat in office at computer and rob was sat on floor on the laptop with Toby at his feet - the most awful smell kept wafting and Rob kept telling Toby off for it ( straight faced!! lol ) anyway about an hour later (as i forgave Toby for it - he's my baby lol) i then realised that lying git was playing at telling fibs and he got a whack lol xx he thought it highly hilarious xx i never believe it's Toby now LOL xx

whenever in doubt - give OH the evil eye xx
