Thank you. You are all so quick and helpful!
I forgot to add the one positive that has come out of this situation. Sharma was never what you'd call a "cuddle cat" but since he's been ill he comes to bed with me every night, lays on my chest, snuggles his face into my neck and purrs wildly! I think it's his way of saying thanks mum!!
Ahhh, bless, thats lovely

Re: Feline Aids-I need help.

If you notice he loses a lot of weight or his appetite is poor you can get Hills AD invalid food from your vet, it's very tasty and soft, and can even be made soupy so it can be spooned in.I think there's something called liquivite that is a soupy , highly nutritious stuff too. You can get great supplements such as nutridrops to go along with a sensible high quality diet to try and maintain him.
I'm so sorry, the news must have been such a shock.

Re: Feline Aids-I need help.

Hi Leah,
I think the soft food is what the vet gave me to try after the surgery, oddly he didn't like it and even more oddly, he seems to prefer bigger chunks of food (has even raided the dog bowl). The drops sound a really good idea. I will ask the vet on Saturday.
Thanks Jan.
