We are slowly moving onto wet food just as a starting point she is getting three of the felix foils a day at the mo. Seems happy enough so far working on the exercise thing but we are mid house move so not a lot of space yet.

I bought a huge new cat tree for the new hous from ebay si it was pretty cheap, and we have french windows into the garden so im planning to get a bird bath and feeder and stuff to put by the window to try and get her motivated to move a bit more.

stupid question when your feeding raw are you just taking the raw wings/drumsticks and putting them in your cats bowl? im not sure my cat would know what to with it lol ive given her raw bits of chicken thats been diced before and she takes ages to eat a single cube and gts more of it on the florr than she eats

You can mince, then dice then make bigger portions.

My male is NOT that interested in food and is a struggle to get hime to eat at all let alone raw. But the female loves food and has taken to raw with gusto!

Each cat is different - just like you and me. You have to respect that. if you get them as kittens then it is probably a lot easier to influence them. But adult cats can be set in their ways.

You can take the denial of anything else route but that needs care because cats can harm themselves if they refuse to eat for a long time (more than a couple of days).

IMHO I would rather give my adult cats who have been brought up on a wet/dry maybe not very good food a choice of high quality wet and high quality dry as well as some raw.

Bowls are a waste of time here, I just put it on a plate mat thingy, when I was putting it in bowls they just pulled it out and got raw meat juice everywhere, this way they seem to stay in the designated area 9 times out of 10.

I put my raw chunks on a large plastic picnic plate. The chunks get carried off to either be eaten off my flipflops which are rubber/plastic by the back door or on the towel i put down on the hall/kitchen door threshold.

I do not understand why the cats do this, but they carry the chunks off to chew in these two places.

I currently feed my 5 cats purina cat chow because its easier for me. I want them to lose and maintain a healthy body weight even though none of them are currently over-weight.
I would like to put them on wet canned food with a little bit of dry if i knew whether it was better for them.

To exercise my cats I have a laser pointer and they all go CRAZY for it. It helps ME out too because ill play with them so much that they actually sleep when I sleep instead of being wide awake when i am trying to sleep
