Hi , i was wondering, well ! thinking ahead i am currently feeding my future queen on a raw diet , and now im starting to worry incase this will make her more inclined to eat her new born babies in any way ?? forgive me as i know this may be a silly question but just had to ask , as i have read of queens eating thier babies ( i know this may be from other reasons ) but what could make them do this ? . thanks guys |

Mine are fed raw. A Queen will only kill her babies if there is something wrong with them or they are distressed about something, usually being disturbed, most Queens don't mind their owner being around, but can get distressed if there are lots of people ect poking about at them

I agree with Selk, eating babies is a psychological issue not to do with hunger or food.
I have noticed with mine, that the ones that aren't that keen on raw love it when they have babies. They seem to know whats best for them and their babies at that time ![]()
