Duralactin Feline L-Lysine!

Gosh thats a mouthful!

Well, we've tried almost everything now to help with Audrey's snuffly nose and i've finally come across this:

Duralactin Feline L Lysine Gel - Large 32.5 ml

Fortunetly my husbands parents live in America so they are bringing some back with them for us to try. It sounds like its good stuff, and i've heard L-Lysine is good with this kind of virus.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this product?

Yes L-Lysine is added to some brands of dried cat foods. You can actually buy it from Holland and Barrets and put it in the cat food daily.

Re: Duralactin Feline L-Lysine!

I'd heard that as well but thought this gel sounded a bit more specific and its for pets Its cheap too! lol!

Audrey's a bit fussy with her wet food so i'm not sure she'd get the full dosage if i sprinkled it on her food. I'll give this a go and see if it sorts her sneezes out

Aw thanks for that Jen, i've never actually looked at the ingredients before! Its not possible to 'overdose' on L-Lysine is it do you know?

i wouldnt of thought so,but maybe ask your vet to be on the safe side, there should be a warning on the cream if it can do any harm.

personally I would speak to your vets be for administering anything you get from in the states as well. as some things are banned over here for reasons. i'm from the US but at the same time i do my research and always ask the vet before adding anything to my pets routine on the medical side.
