Injured cat

My kitten is probably two months old maybe a little younger. He about two weeks ago got stepped on, just recently i noticed when he walks,he flips over forwards to the right. But i havnet noticed any problems with his legs.
I assumed that he was dieing or going to because I have heard of this happening with cats that have been hit by cars and such, but hes still going strong no signs of passing,he just keeps on flipping....he seems to be trying to walk better I just dont know what to do.I dont have the money to take him to a vet.

Need Advice~

Re: Injured cat

You're not going to want to hear this but your kitten needs to see a vet urgently. Regardless of whether you have the money or not,you owe it to you kitten to see that he gets proper medical care asap and there are ways and means of getting treatment for your kitten. Try the PDSA first, or failing that surely you could borrow some money from a relative or friend. I dont think any vet would deny urgent treatment for your kitten if you are willing to come to an arrangement with them.

Re: Injured cat

You are right he needs to see a vet NOW.
There are animal charities if you are on a benefit. contact the PDSA as has been said.
If you get no joy pm me and i will give you a cat site that maybe could help.

Re: Injured cat

Like the others have said your kitten really does need to see a vet ASAP. There is obviously something wrong there and he could be in pain etc.

It's not normal for a cat to be "flipping" when they walk, so he needs vet treatment.

When you take on a pet, you really should consider your money situation for future vet bills before you get your new pet... (I know circumstances can change while owning a pet, but your kitten is only 8 weeks old).

Like tinamary said, there are places you can go where you can get free vet treatment or help towards the costs if you are on a low income or on some kind of benefit.

PS: I just re read your post and you say your kitten is 8 weeks possible younger and 2 weeks ago he was stepped on, so you must have taken him on very young. Must have been taken away from mum too early imo).

Re: Injured cat

I suspect he has broken something and definitely needs a vet.

Is there a veterinarian clinic for people who have hit on hard times were you live. Here in England we can take our pets to the PDSA for treatment, it is courtesy to give a donation.

Will a local vet agree to payment terms, ours will?

You need to check out what is available to you for the kittens sake.

Sue

Re: Injured cat

What other advice can people give other than take your kitten to a vet?? Whether you have the money or not, the kittens welfare comes first and there are always options for those on low incomes. Have you actually spoken to a vet about the incident that happened two weeks ago? There are ways of getting money together and this was something that should have been dealt with at the time.

Re: Injured cat

I love your Ragdolls Kay 2008, i have always wanted one.

I have 4 cats 2 are rescues and it is hard to find vets fees at times but i have borrowed money in the past to get urgent treatment.
I feel sorry for the kitten and will take it on. I am in cheshire and will sort out a way of getting it if you let me know where you are.
