Without knowing the ingedients of Babycat I couldn't say. It's like mission impossible trying to find Royal Canin ingredients on the internet. If you can post them from the bag I'll have a look.

Re: what other brands of food can you feed.....

Did the vet say it was a protein intolerance or just an intolerance? Did he say why he thought it was an intolerance? The more I think about it the more I think it doesn't sound like a intolerance, just diahorrea isn't usually a reason to suspect a food intolerance.

I would be more inclined to say it's just down to the move and swapping and changing foods, in that case the best thing to do is choose a good quality food and stick to it and give the kit time to settle on that food. I can't actually find a food other than Orijen that I think looks any good but it does contain chicken as does Babycat.

no he stated at first that its bacterial imbalance in the bowel. so gave pro-kolin but he felt that it could be something to do with meat protein as she is on the same biscuits as the breeder fed also she has had the runny poo for 2 weeks so he suggested she has more than enough time to settle in , she only had the one of sheba meat and biscuits have always been what she is use to so he didnt think it was change in food because there wasnt one really just a one of meat meal, but because she went really bad after having the chicken this is why he is edging towards a food intolerance, she goes back tomorrow so will see hwat he says then maybe i will keep her on the babycat for a week and keep giving her the pro-kolin and see how she goes if no improvement them maybe its worthe tryin the food you suggested or the royal canin sensitive for kittens ? what do you think ?

Re: what other brands of food can you feed.....

Oh right sorry, I thought there had been more changes than that.

Orijen is the best cat food available without a doubt, they don't claim it to be but it is the most hypoallergenic dry cat food because it is the most species appropriate. Saying that though a food is only as hypoallergenic as far as the ingredients suit the individual cat. It depends what your kitten is intolerant to but my first port of call would definatly be Orijen. I don't rate Royal Canin at all and would steer well clear of them myself, same with Hill's although the vet will no doubt claim it's the bee's knees. I'll try and find a one protein, one carb diet in the morning.
