Re: Worming very young kittens
It may also be worth getting some Frontline spray too. If the queen was up to date with her worming treatment before the kittens were born, it's possible there are fleas which have passed on the worms.

She was wearing a flea colar until recently. Is their a specific flea spray that will be safe for them all? |

Re: Worming very young kittens
Yes Frontline, but the kittens only need a little bit, and it's probably better to spray it onto some rubber gloves or something, and just kind of give them a really good fuss wearing them (still wet of course). But you do need to keep the kittens separate from the queen until they are all dry. It shouldn't take too long, maybe 30 mins in a warm room, or better still pop the little ones on a hot water bottle covered with a couple of layers of towels.
They must be absolutely dry before you put them back together though. If you're unsure of the amount to use, or just don't feel comfortable doing it, I'm sure the vet will happily do it for you/kittens owner. |
