JJ Latest news
Hi there friends,
Just an update on that gorgeous cat of mine who had suffered trauma and subsequent brain damage via anesthetic at the vet!
My last message was posted in May and since that time it has been slow but good progress. Tonight we had a breakthrough, I took JJ into the garden with my other cat and groomed him on the lawn. He has not been going out although I feel he would come back if he did venture out, he just has no desire. He stood up and looked around and it was as if he was remembering things. The nice thing was he was totally relaxed. The time I have spent with him, nurturing him and making him feel safe again has really paid off. It has been a long time but we are thrilled with what we have seen tonight.
He is so much more alert, does not hide like he was and has also stopped giving off his 'nasty' meow although he can be very grumpy when you pick him up. He washes himself and tonight came out of his other resting place and sat by his food bowl which was a complete surprise as I usually have to go and get him. I hope I can report even more good news over the next few months. As I said before, never give up and always give them a chance as long as they are not suffering.
This is J in his favourite resting place, his new bed.
