Well I want to trim her nails because my mom doesn't want her scratching on furniture and so she doesnt hurt me if she scratches me

It won't necessarily stop her scratching the furniture, cats will do that wether their nails are clipped or not

clipping claws is very usefull if you have a cat that likes to jump up into your arms,or if your backs turned, up your back!!

ive had harry hanging from my shoulders by his claws many a timekay trimmed his claws when she came round and after that it wasnt so painful!

I was really surprised how well she did with the normal nail clipper. She behaved really well.

I didn't mean to say that I wanted to clip them to prevent her from scratching on the furniture, I just meant I would like to prevent the furniture from showing scratch marks. :P

Also she kneads a lot.. And she likes to do that on my face, while I'm trying to sleep; It gets painfull, but now it's just a pleasent awakening.
