Cat not eating - what is the matter?
Hi,
My cat, Angel, who is 12 years old has not been eating. We took her to the vet and he gave her 3 injections. One was an antibiotic, the other was an inti-inflammatory as her gut was slightly inflamed, and the other was something that encourages the stomach to empty, called Metoclopramide.
After that she started eating well again and then about 2 days later she slowly stopped again. We tried her on something called Essiac, a herb brew that is quite good for you in general, but importantly it has something in it that encourages bowl movement and she has indeed taken a poo, but is still not eating.
Has anybody had a similar issue with their cat? We will take her to the vet again tomorrow and see what they say. I suppose they could give her the Metoclopramide again and she will eat, but its not very good to just keep doing that. I want to know why she isn't eating!
This is not just because its hot by the way, she is not eating at all and becoming weak.
