Lump On Tummy

Hi,

My 9 1/2 week old kitten has a lump on her tummy, it is in the approx place her belly button would be. I don't know how long it has been there as when she is on her back (how i would normally hold her) it flattens back out so is not noticable.
She was also vet checked not long ago and it was not picked up then.

I was wondering if it could be from a little infection caused either (a) from where the cord was cut (b) from a cut due to play fighting with the other cats.

I of course will be arranging a vet check for her, but can anyone shed any more light on it for me, thanks.

Re: Lump On Tummy

If it can be pushed back in then its an unbilical hernia.

Could be, but I have never had/seen a hernia before, i thought a hernia would be more of a solid lump, this is like a sac of fluid.

Re: Lump On Tummy

I had a teeny kit with an infection in the belly button before and some kitten synulox from the vet cleared it up in just a few days. This kit was much younger than yours tho, I hope that is all it is and nothing more serious. Let us know what the vet says
