Hi-Life

I've just got back from wandering around PAH looking at all the cat, kitten and rabbit food. While I was unable to get Natures Menu kitten food I fed them Hi-Life kitten food and have realised I have been paying more getting it from the supermarket than if I had got it from PAH. It is also quite a bit cheaper than NM kitten food (which was in today).

It seems OK - 60% meat or fish - but then I'd been feeding my cats Whiskas and Felix for 18 or so years with no idea I was doing anything wrong until I joined this website.

Does anyone else use the Hi-Life kitten and cat food?

My cats are 14,13,13,1,1, and five 9 week old kittens and they all seem to like the Hi-Life food. I want them to have a good diet but I don't have unlimited finances. Natures Menu was £5.65 I think and HL was £3.99 so it makes quite a big difference when you have as many moggies as I do

I also got some frozen tripe in PAH. It says it's for dogs but the assistant said it would be OK for cats too. It is currently thawing out - I hope they like it. I was going to get the chicken one but it said in the small print that it could have bones in it which worried me a bit.

PAH had Applaws on offer as well (for those of you who use it) so I bought a box of that as my cats have that too occasionally. They really like that

I get the minced Turkey from Asda, I cook that for mine, it's filling and they love it, some of the frozen food shops have some really good deals, I suppose I'm lucky living where I do, we have a Meatmart that regularly has specials, and a Cool Trader where I get frozen chicken breasts very cheap, they also do Coley the 4 blocks for £1.59, so I'm able to feed mine quite a bit of real meat and fish, otherwise I stock up at the supermarkets when they have specials on.

Do you serve the turkey as a complete meal?

Used to live in Lancashire in 70's and butchers sold tripe for humans. Considered a delicacy in that part of the world.
