dried cat food

Hi, all 4 of my cats are under 4yrs old and luckily all like dried cat food
I used to buy the 7kg bag of Kirkland cat food at costco and they loved it
Since my hubby left costco we are no longer members so cant buy this anymore
Can anyone suggest a suitable, similar cat food thats not too pricey?
I ideally dont want to pay more than £20 for a 10kg if possible
TIA

Re: dried cat food

If you invest in a healthier & better dried food for your cats you'll find they eat less as they will be more full.

Im sorry but I cant recommend at 10kg dried cat food for less than £20.

Re: dried cat food

Thanks for the input guys
The reason i dont want to pay a fortune is because i am on Incapacity and dont have a lot of cash
However bad Kirkland cat food is my cats enjoyed it and never seemed to be hungry as they are on the tesco stuff

Hi Scampsmum

Orijen is probably one of the best but theres lots of other popular ones such as JWBL, Royal Canin, IAMS, Hills which are all ok aswel. Lots of fresh water, a good dried food such as one of the above, and then some poached chicken breast, mince meat etc as treats or to supplement.

If Diamond is what they have been eating if you do change over to a healthier food you should notice a difference in their behaviour...chances are they might be abit more active, healthier coat, better bowl movements...theres lots of reasons why a good diet is best for your cat.

Im sure there are threads here somewhere with some of the other cat lovers stating what they feed their cat and lots of reasons why they feed them that.

Every cat has individual circumstances also.

AJShep seems to know alot about pets diets/foods etc so I could recommend him for diet/feeding advice if you wanted to know more. xx

Re: dried cat food

Well Hills is what the vet recommends and hence the reason why I said I recommended you for advice as you know your stuff.

And Im sure whatever your opinion on Hills or IAM they are better than Diamond!

Come on..obviously advice needed. xx

Re: dried cat food

I think it just depends on the individual cat and see what works best for them.

Personally I wouldn't go for "cheapy" stuff.

I feed mine on Hills and I haven't had any problems, they do really well on it. Yes I know alot of people say it isn't the best, but it works for me and it's better than some of the cheap crap you can buy.
