Cat Beds Feedback Please!

Hey there

I'm branching out into producing items for larger pets, such as cat beds, and would like to hear what your opinions are. In the lead-up to Christmas, do you guys want to see Christmas themed cat beds, or just regular pretty cat beds?
I ask as I'm going to my first craft fair next month, and wish to debut some premade cat items there!

Thanks

Re: Cat Beds Feedback Please!

I would say regular ones myself - can't see the point in buying a cat bed just for christmas. But, i think people would buy a christmas one for the novelty factor.

My two sleep anywhere but the bed i bought for them - a small bean bag i made years ago at school has now become a cat bed - so at least someone is using it.

I wouldn't invest too much money in making a lot of Christmas themed beds as once Christmas is over they look a bit silly. Better to make slightly unusual or just general good quality, hardwearing, washable beds in various shapes and sizes! I always wish more pet bed makers would include either an extra cover or cushion for the inside of a bed for when you take one off to wash.

Re: Cat Beds Feedback Please!

Hey there

Thanks, that is what I was thinking! People do always have the option to order one in Christmas fabrics if they so wish.

Thanks for the tip about removable cushions - I do make these as an an option for all my beds, but I'll include them as standard with my cat sized beds.

Thanks

Re: Cat Beds Feedback Please!

I agree seems pointless having themed beds as they will look silly the rest of the year round

I know what people are saying about themed baeds BUT my partner must buy 5 every year??? they do sell so don't discount them...

may I ask where you are going to take your cat beds as I am making large cat trees as in the post "ultimate cat trees" and am looking for ways of selling them.

cheers

Re: Cat Beds Feedback Please!

Hey there

I will be selling these beds primarily at my store, Cavy Couture - Handmade Accessories For All Exotic Pets
I will also be taking them along to the craft show I have planned, which if it goes well (I'm brand new and havent done any yet), I will be attending many more.
If you'd like to drop me an email for a chat then go for it!

I havent quite decided on what stock I'll be taking to the fair, but I will deifnitely make up one Christmas bed, but focus on the normal range. If people like the Christmas themes, they can always order one made on my site anyway
