Unhappy great cat free to a good home

Our new granddaughter is allergic to our cat! Slinkx is 5 years old, neutered and declawed in the front. We hate to give him up but we can't keep him and have our granddaughter come visit! We really want to find him a good home.

We live in Lee's Summit, Mo. Please contact us if you'd like to adopt Slinkx!

Re: great cat free to a good home

Hi,

I can't beleive they still do it, we had a visit from an American family and the mother was appalled my cats weren't declawed! "oh it only hurts for a minute" oh well thats ok then, do you want me to rip out all your finger nails then?

Strange they never visited again, just as well as their kids were absolute horrors and stressed the cats out no end!

A declawed cat is more likely to be aggressive as it only has its teeth to defend it, they can't go out doors, their nail beds can get infected, there are so many reasons why it shouldn't be done, Why are US vets so inhuman that they still do it?

I hope the cat gets a lovely caring home, hopefully with someone who can understand what it has gone through

Izzie

To be fair I think it's ignorance thing rather than only a cruel thing. I don't think most people in the states get that they are basically mutilating their cats for convenience.

We're not all cruel and inhumane (or ignorant). I would never get my cats declawed.

Hi,

So not all US cat owners do it then? Im really pleased you haven't subjected your puss to this.

Have you any pics of your cats? Welcome to the forum!
