could I ask a question - is the amount of organs / bone in the various minced meats enough to give the correct balance in the diet?

Also, is it possible to get rabbit chunks with less bone in?
The meat, bone, organs is balanced for cats in the Variety packs (Ox, Mince, Rabbit, Ostrich). The Wild Rabbit mince is a little low in liver as it is often disgarded by the person who catches it (I'm working on that one) but wild rabbit should not be fed as the bulk of any diet as the vitamins / minerals, taurine etc are a little low for cats (and humans).

Wild rabbits are about half the size of farmed rabbits (about 900g) so it is quite time consuming to strip the meat off the bones. Also they are frozen within a couple of hours of being killed to ensure freshness. What I can do is send you some samples of different portions with your next order to see what your cats prefer. Also if you remind me I'll pop in a sample of the sow tounge.

I find that kittens at about 7 weeks old really tuck into the chunks.

Re: For all the Raw feeders out there

I know this is an old (ish!) thread, but had to tell you how much my cats are loving the sow tongue chunks. If ever anyone's cat is a bit reluctant about raw initially - I'm pretty certain the sow tongue will win them over LOL! My cats have been eating raw for several years now and some meats they are keener on than others - but there are two meats I know will never fail to delight them, one is turkey and the other now, is sow tongue.

I currently buy the turkey from Morrisons - they do diced turkey thigh, although sometimes I can only get turkey breast which I don't think is as good as the thigh. I know I mentioned the turkey to you a while back Karen, but just wondered if you'd had any more thoughts about stocking it?

Mine love the sow tounge as well Viking will eact 1kg at a single sitting if I let him.

I personally wouldn't feed any Turkey from the supermarket. Turkey is so full of antibiotics and other growth hormones. This is the reason that I don't supply it at the moment. I'm trying to source a non-antibiotic free range one but can't get the volume at the moment to supply the demand.

Ah, good point, I actually hadn't thought about the abx etc in turkey, although I do sometimes buy the organic/free range (can't remember if its both) turkey mince in Sainsbury's sometimes, but can't always get it. The turkey thigh chunks in Morrisons arent organic or free range though, but they do love 'em!

Better just stick to the sow tongue for now then - which reminds me, must order some more!

Hi there, do your raw products for cats include Taurine supplements?

Thanks
