Re: wanted Male 1 year old siamese
You don't hire a stud, your female visits your chosen stud in his own quarters, maintained by his owner. You leave your queen there for a few days and collect her after she has mated.
Before you get to that point though, you should really do some research to see what you are letting yourself in for. There is a lot to consider, its not just a case of putting two cats together and having a litter of cute kittens. There is a lot that can go wrong and that can hit your finances and your emotions in a big way. I can recommend this book Complete Book of Cat Breeding: Amazon.co.uk: Dan Rice: Books

Re: wanted Male 1 year old siamese
When your lass is in season her personality will change. SHe will become much more vocal and 'call' -this can be very noisy as she tries to get the attention of all the males in the neighbourhood and can go on day and night for 7-10 days. She will roll on the floor and flirt with you and inanimate objects. She will rub herself upon all sorts of things.Sometimes a clear liquid comes from her lady bits. She will arch her back (lardosis) and hold her tail to the side whilst sticking her bum in the air with her head down and she may paddle her back feet. She may go off her food a bit too.
If you want to use a stud you need to contact breeders that have boys that are at open stud (not all breeders allow others to use their boys) andconvince them to let you use their boys. You will have to prove that you are serious, that you know your stuff, and understand that you are breeding to better the breed not just for profit. You will need to get your girl tested for FIV and something else I can't remember. Some breeders require this done as a snap test done 24 hours before visiting, some prefer a diffferent test done a few weeks earlier. Vacinations need to be up to date and the breeder will want to see the registration certificate to prove the cat is on the active register. It isn't always easy to find a stud nearby - the one we use is a 4 hour drive away and being at the stud doesn't guarentee kittens. My girl has been to the studs twice (so four eight hour journeys) and hasn't taken either time. Yet despite all these trials it is the best way to do it. My stud owner has been fantastic and a great support. You need to contact breeders a good while before your girl is mated - I was in contact with mine a good six months first. I wish you luck.
