Two New Kittens

Afternoon all,
Me and my boyfriend took on two kittens two weeks ago (they are now 10 weeks) and the previous owner made a concious attempt not to handle them as to not get attached. This has made is very hard for us to handle the kittens. They now lets us stroke them but will not let us hold them. We try as much as possible to handle/stoke them so they know they can trust us. Also they are pretty good at going to the toilet however there have been a few mistakes (in my handbag/sofas). We've purchased some training spray but wondered if you had any other suggestions?

I've never had cats so just want to make sure they are okay and that they are friendly and loving, but at the same time do not want to force trust. Also is it natural for them to poo...alot!? They also play fight but can get aggressive, at what point should I break it up?

Sorry for all the questions I just want to get it right!
x

I would try posting this in the cat chat section - this is the section for advertising cat stuff.

Re: Two New Kittens

Hi there, if you post this in the cat chat, you will get more help hun.

ok this might help litter training, when your kitts have eaten shush them towards their litter tray, do not pick them up and put them in it cos they will not know where to find it other wise, play fighting is ok and fun for them, i would only break them up if they are really hissing and spitting and i would do that with a hand clap and no no. but most times it is just fun for them.

hope this helps. but as i say post in cat chat.
cos this is the for sale thread hun.
