Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
I think it matters a great deal!!!! if the cat in rescue is a blue point and owners ring up saying theirs is a seal point...surley you get my point.also the op describes their cat as having brown points, but looking at the pics they are clearly blue!!!the rescue will look at the cat in their care and it wont match the description, surley when there are no microchips or other proof getting your verbal description accurate is vital???

Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
Firstly thank you to everyone that is looking owt for me.
And i described him as he is and baring in mind those pics are took on a mobile, which isnt the best as it cn dul or liten the pic depending on the white balance, iso settings and contrast settings and of course the phne. Photos realy arent gd as they never show anyfing in its true form or colour. |

Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
oh for hells sake!
you cant always expect a pet owner to know the colours of their cat like some of us others do - years ago when i knew nothing about cats i would've had those same problems with describing my cats!! only now do i know what colours are what and how easy it is to describe them xx Jelly - i hope you get your Rolo back and everything returns to normal xxx fingers crossed they can match him from the photo's if it is him xx |

Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
Only just seen this thread.
I'm so sorry to hear that your little fella has gone missing and I hope for you that it is your boy in the rescue so you can have him back safe and sound asap. If it isn't your Ragdoll in the rescue, then I hope his owners reunite with him or he finds a great home. So upsetting when you hear of someones indoor cat escaping, you must feel awful ![]() XX |

Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
I hope you hear from the lady who is looking after this cat today, Steph, one way or the other but as I am sure you will appreciate we do need to make sure so far as we (the Ragdoll Rehome Group) can that the cat belongs to you (can't think it doesn't).
One way to check on Rolo's colour is on the papers you should have been given when you got him - his pedigree and/or pink slip (depending of whether your breeder held this back until they had proof of neuterng?). Will keep my fingers crossed for you. ![]()

Re: MISSING!! Male ragdoll cat 2 years 3 months
I too would not have a clue about the subulties of colour and I agree that not only does it depend on your phone but it also depends onyour graphics card in your computer as to being able to distinguish shades.
That said, just in case it isn't your cat, here is some very good advice from another forum: Quote:
