Unhappy haws syndrome

appears my 6 month siamese has developed haws syndrome , i have wormed her as suggested and used eye drops , lets just hope it rectifies itself as quickly as it started as she has the most amazing blue eyes usually and is well, happy and content in every other way

Oh i'm so sorry to hear about that. I'm not familiar with the syndrome but I hope it's not too serious and gets better really soon!

Re: haws syndrome

Oh it sounds a very unusual thing Candriks, wish you and your cat all the best with treatment of it. I'll just continue bathing with boiled cooled water on Kismet, think she just has a minor infection. Thanks for telling us about it in case it does crop up on anyone else's pets. Good luck with it. C.x.

Re: haws syndrome

Some siamese and oris do have their haws further up than other cats because their eyes can be quite deep set. It is something they grow out of though.

But then there is third eyelid disease, which is a very common mild virus that causes their haws to come up suddenly. It sometimes is accompanied by a couple of days of the runs though. I don't think there is any specific treatment for it you just have to let it run its course.
