Re: My head is blowing up!...
I only have moggies so they are a darn bit cheaper to insure I imagine than pedigrees - I used petwise and they were really good, fast to cough up when we had to claim for Toby's hip operation. I recently got my mother in laws cat covered and a quote for our little cat. Her cat is our little cats brother, but her cost is more than ours per month. I really don't know why cos she only lives less than mile away (too damn close sometimes
) so how they base their premiums is a bit of a mystery! She had a quote from the same company via the micro-chipping people and that quote was double what she ended up with - what a con!! |

Re: My head is blowing up!...
I looked at insurance too over the last couple of weeks.
I have 2 adult adopted Maine Coons (supposedly one of the healthier pedigree breeds). I wanted: Lifetime cover for any ailment enough cover for treatment within a given year In the end I went with PetPlan - the one that promotes via breeders i.e. kitten covered for 6 weeks after transfer to new owner. 1. Because it seemed to have a good reputation as far as paying up on claims and 2. because it offered lifetime and a 4k rollover each year. I got a quote online but it advised ringing up because of possible discount with 2 - and I did get a good discount. I fully understand where the original poster is coming from - its a total nightmare - got my car insurance coming up again in august - how i hate having to compare that - why can't firms reward loyalty? |
