Hi, any advice would be gratefully appreciated right now....Suri is hiding away from us! She runs straight into the living room and hides under the sofa we would have to prize her out if we wanted to see her. The other cats have been very good and not a single hiss has passed from them to her but she is growling from the sofa and wont tolerate them near her. She is OK with us but not too much affection is being allowed....we have tried talking to her and playing and wiggling the feather stick etc....but she doesnt want to know. Is this normal???

Lola did that when we got her home.. just leave her too it.. as long as you have food, water and litter tray near by she'll be fine and will come out when she is ready

Thanx Bee, will do.....its a while since we had a new kittie!, you kind of forget the way things work with the new arrivals. I hope she likes us eventually!

things should be ok within a week she just needs to build her confidence up , its a big shock and very unfamiliar so give her her space and she will come to you when she is ready , it wont be like this for ever

Lola still goes under the sofa occasionally if she wants to keep out the way

i go and hide in the bathroom with a hot bubbly bath and a magazine loli cant fit under the sofa ................ cats need me time 2
