Re: What breed is suitable with a bengal?
That a girl. Keep working on him!
Maine Coons, are classed as semi longhair cats, but being a natural (evolved) breed their coats pretty much look after themselves. Just brush through once or twice a week to keep neat. Dexter and Honey's breeder has kittens available (Doncaster) and going to see them is a sure fire way to swing the deal (worked for me)! LONCOON MAINE COONS Ian F.

Re: What breed is suitable with a bengal?
Thanks. Their kittens look gorgeous but think I will have to research more about them so I know what I'm getting myself in for first. I'm also moving house in a month so need to wait till after that too. I will keep the website saved though, thanks
![]() Any idea how much is right for a pet Maine Coon? Especially brown or silver tabbys. Also, whats the difference between a classic tabby and a mackeral tabby? Oh you mentioned how their fur is different. Whats does that mean for their shedding? Do they shed a lot? Sorry for all the questions and thanks again |

Re: What breed is suitable with a bengal?
Maine Coons average between £350 to £425 for a pet. Brown Tabbies are the traditional colour so there are usually plenty of them. Silvers are fairly common (I have a silver classic tabby tortie with white) but not as common as browns.
The difference in mackerels and classics is the way the stripes fall. The big tell tale sign is a classic tabby has a big bulls eye mark on each side of their torso like this: ![]() & stripes down the back like this: ![]() whilst mackerel is simple stripes like: ![]() Yes, they do shed a lot. |
