Re: Horrible experience with cats and birds!

The OH's old neighbours cat killed a whole litter of baby rabbits and brought them back one by one, left them half eaten in the garage!

Lucky, i don't live near any farms.

My cat this week bought in two birds, one was an avary bird and other wild bird. My cat bites me if i get close if he's got an animal.

One bird died and other flew into a hedge, don't know if dead

Re: Horrible experience with cats and birds!

When I was small my mother had a cat that use to catch anything that moved, so my mum brought a collar with a bell on it so whatever the cat was after, the animal or bird whould hear him coming

Re: Horrible experience with cats and birds!

We tried the bell thing, put 3 on her and still she brought things home, including a racing pigeon! Took her collar off in the end as she is an ambush specialist!

Well we have had lots of voles, mice and shrews and my big male caught a mole a few weeks ago, they like variety!

Re: Horrible experience with cats and birds!

Ours have bell's but it doesn't stop them catching prey. They hunt together which is quite entertaining to watch!

They are so funny to watch, one of my girls keeps trying to teach her sister how it is done but poor Minstrel is just too mentally challenged to get it! Priceless watching the lesson in progress though!
