Re: Advice re a stray cat

He may need worming, but it's sad to say sometimes they are better as they are as long as he is being fed etc-i say this as rescue centres do their best to rehome and mostly with success but sometimes not so-make some enquiries and judge for yourselfSounds like lad about town bless-thanks for keeping us updated and plz continue to do so

Re: Advice re a stray cat

Thanks for that . I rang the rescue centre today and they advised putting posters of him up in the area incase he's strayed from a good home. Failing that he'll prob need to be rehomed.

I feel bad for the poor cat , but I think if he has a good home he'll do alot better than just depending on people putting out food for him.

I'll keep you updated though !

Re: Advice re a stray cat

Just thought I'd let you know we're keeping the stray kitty !
None of the rescue places in my area were willing to take him on, I guess they're full at the moment with kittens.
They did suggest I rehome him myself but to be honest I have no experience of that kind of thing and he's still a bit frightened so not sure how he'd react with kids or a noisy household.
So he's staying with us as an outside cat and will move with me next year.
I feel bad leaving him outdoors but I bought him a house today and he's well fed so hopefully he'll be fine for the winter !

Re: Advice re a stray cat

Yes, it's great we can keep him. He'll have to stay outside because of an allergic family member (how inconvenient are some humans !)

But he has a lot of alley cat personality traits still so I think he'll be happy enough outside
