Re: Feeding?

You have a queen, Chloe, who has had kittens and another cat, Po, who comes and and wants to feed those kittens - is that correct? If Po has had kittens of her own recently, she will be in milk and will be able to feed the kittens. If Po does not have milk then the babies are wasting time and effort by suckling on her. The babies are best off suckling from their own mother who can provide them with milk, so that they can continue to grow and thrive.

Edit: I have just read about Po and Chloe in your previous thread and see that Po has older kittens - her milk will not be of the same consistency as Chloe's milk because Chloe has younger babies but Po will be able to feed Chloe's babies.

Ha ha ha - you read my post before I had corrected it ...

Good for you, moving Po - quite right too - don't let Chloe get lazy and allow Po to do her work for her. LOL She means well though ...

Re: Feeding?

Aaaahhhh - Although I wouldn't encourage her to get over involved - how lovely that Po is no problem with the kittens apart from being a little too eager a babysitter - it must be very cute to see.

Re: Feeding?

I think its lovely when Mums share kittens, I have never found a problem with it either. It's especially nice when one is a first time Mum, they get alot of confidence and reassurance from having another Mum around.
