I would be inclined to ask a friend to actually live in your home while you are on holiday. I would not ever leave babies at home without someone being there permanently. It only takes a few seconds for a 5 week old kitten to get into something they shouldn't and have a serious injury if not worse. It truly is not worth the risk. 5 week babies are very active and get into everything.

Re: leaving pets..

I agree with Kat. You can't leave tiny kittens like that for 11 days. They need constant supervision, lots of food, water, litter cleaning ect. kittens are like toddlers they get into danger very quickly, fall whatever. Don't take this the wrong way, it's just a comparison, but would you leave your 2 beautiful little girls for 11 days with just someone popping in ? It's just not worth the risk i'm affraid.

Re: leaving pets..

i dont have any one i live really far out from everyone that i know.. cos ive just moved to this area..so i dont even know anyone round here to ask them..i know it sounds a bit extreme but how about if i emptied a room jut left walldrobe and put mattress against the door so they cant get out...
everything is always such bad timing.. seriously story of my life lol

i just feel so bad trust me to end up with a million kittens some one who has practically no idea about kittens... infact i didnt even know my first cat was pregnant until the morning she was acting strange and went into labour.. ive never panicked soo much... and then with my other cat i didnt know she ws pregnant till someone said is ur cat pregnant....

not the right person to be having all these kittens feel so bad for em...
but im taking all ur advice and your all helping me soo much... so thank you to everyone who is helping me out i may seem like a pain but i generally just have no idea...
if anyone wants help with kids im good at those lol

Re: leaving pets..

At the risk of sounding horrible, but how are they all getting pregnant ? Do they go out all the time, if so why are they not speyed ? Only asking as I don't know your situation, just going by your posts.
You honestly cant, just shut them in a room.
Have you tried a pet sitter, anything. If it comes to it you're gonna have to ask for help from cats protection or something.

Re: leaving pets..

Well my cat who is pregnant i havent had her that long well since March so im guessing she was pregnant when i found her...

As for Po.. Was told he was a boy when i first got him from a pet shop...but it turned out he wasnt when we noticed things done below lol so we decided not to get him done they are stay at home cats not aloud out... but when we moved someone left the door open and he got out in feb.. then in april she had her babies... then in march we decided to take in the cat in garden who must have been already pregnant... when we moved there in feb we noticed her in the garden but we couldnt just take her in incase she was someone else but when we realised that she wasnt we took her in x
its confusing it lol

Re: leaving pets..

I'm sorry but the mattress idea sounds as if you may not even having someone in to feed them at all - the kittens will need 3 maybe more small meals a day.

You may not be the right person to have these kittens and I really don't mean you any disrespect by saying that - I know this was a stray cat that came to you - and you are not in a position to help her - you may have to pass her onto a rescue home or somewhere that is.

If you want to take her on you must do it properly - everyone has some friend - even if they are distant that they can ask to come and stay - there must be someone - I know it's difficult to ask. I was in the same position with mine for 4days and we've only just moved to Ireland - we've asked some of our cousins to stay in the house - hope they don't have wild parties

Re: leaving pets..

The cat was not pregnant in March - you're talking to people who are going to know that in a second.
Either take on the responsibility of your pets or give them to someone who will please

Re: leaving pets..

nah seriously i dont have anyone i moved here 15th April dont know anyone at all.... all my friends work and lives miles away from where i am.. plus being a very young mum of two kids under3 i dont get time to go out and make friends...
i literally have no one...

no ur right and i dont jugde u for saying it .. out of everyone to have kittens im probably the worst .. i dont have the time to be after them 24/7 like most.. everythings comes at a bd time..

ive bought 4 automatic pet feeders.. so they do 4 meals a day ive got my partners dad coming to help everyday with the cats ... but he cant stay her as he has other commitments....
