Re: Wormer Confusion

I've only ever used Panacur 10% liquid and I use it on all of our own family cats as well as the kittens. Have never had a "worm" problem, but by the same token, we don't feed raw here, we've also not had a flea problem etc.

I like the Panacur, only problem is the mess it makes but I am extremely proud of the fact that I can worm 20 cats with Panacur in under 20 minutes (that's my current personal worming record lol)

Re: Wormer Confusion

Ok. The best advice I can give is to use Panacur. Use Panacur paste with the adults. Administer one dose for one day if there is no known infestation. If you know your cat is infected then you need to do three days.

With the kittens use Panacur liquid. Not only does this kill worms (and yes that include tapeworms).. but it also kills Giardia which is a water borne virus that causes diarrhoea in cats AND dogs and can kill if left undetected.

Are you sure? I have always been advised by vets to use paste not liquid on kittens.
