Cat Matting

Hi I have an old 20year old Moggy. She is a great little cat, healthy and still energetic. My problem is she is not grooming herself as good now and I have noticed her hair is matting/ clumping together. I have tried to grrom her with various small tooth combs and lightly with a slicker.
Can anyone suggest a better grooming tool as what I have tried is not working

Re: Cat Matting

You can buy a rubber brush that massages them aswell as grooming from the base of the coat, it gets rid of all that dead base coat too. Betz loves it!

Re: Cat Matting

zoom grooms are brilliant when cats are moulting, ive never had matts in either of my cats fur, i susspect if your matts are bad, you may have to trim them out, but a daily zoom groom session will do .
