Do cats think they are people?

I don't think my cats realise they are cats, I'm sure they think they are people (or maybe think people are cats).

What does everyone think?

Hahaha. Same here really. If my cats ever decided to get up and do the housework or get their own meals, then maybe I would think they were people. But no sorry, they are animals that I love very much and are great companions

My cat wees down the plug hole of the bath! Obviously i've not taught him to do this ,and don't know why he started doing this as he has always had access to litter tray or outside!
Someone told me once that the reason cats bring you live presents is that they think it is time you learnt to hunt, and they are doing what a mother cat would do for her babies.
I'm sure this is what my cat does as he often brings me baby rabbits which he then releases in the house. he shows no interest in them and often sits on the sofa while I run around trying to catch them!
So maybe he thinks I am a rubbish cat, either that6 or he has a sense of humour!!

Panther (Panny) a stray cat I took in used the toilet, never trained him - by cricky he strayed a long way from home

My two kittens have a double identity crisis going on, we thought one was a girl but they are both boys and their dad is a SBT, can't wait to hear them bark, l've heard them growl though.

Sue

Re: Do cats think they are people?

I am probably loosing the plot, but i don't think I was clear...

I don't think they are people, I just think they might.
By that, I mean, I don't think they realise they are any different from me.
