Hi guys,
I'm sorry for all the threads recently. Greg's cousins came today to look at the kittens, and when we got back from Richmond Park this afternoon I noticed that I could only find one of the kittens. I've found since that a few of the windows were left wide open (yeah, thanks kids), and I'm terrified that Gracie's managed to escape. We're tried looking everywhere in the house, enclosed spaces, behind/under wardrobes... Does anyone have any reassuring stories of kittens who couldn't be found, or ideas of ways to find her if she's out? As we've only had her for 2 weeks she doesn't even answer properly to her name, and I don't know what to do. I'm really sorry for the ramble, I'm just devastated, and I can't stop worrying. Thanks, Damian x |

Re: Missing kitten
I'm assuming she is very young?
Check drawers, they can climb up the back (of desk type drawers) and may just be sitting inside one. I lost a 4 month old kitten once, he was picked up by someone when he was seen near a busy road, got him back via cats protection. If someone sees a very young cat/kitten they will normally pick them up as it will be obvious they are lost, try all your local vets, cats protection and RSPCA branches. |

Re: Missing kitten
Check absolutely everywhere!!
Open all drawers a kitten can get anywhere. I thought I had lost both of mine and they had got in the top drawer and climbed down the back and were both asleep in the bottom one - when I found them they looked at me like what's the problem? If you have a sofa bed they can sometimes can into the bit under these too. Walk through each room with a bowl of food and have a really good think - she would be very frightened of going outside the house IMO. Best of luck I hope you find her! Emily |

Re: Missing kitten
Thanks guys... I think that she *must* be somewhere in the house, especially as there's lots of noise. I'm hoping she's gone into hiding somewhere and she'll re-emerge tomorrow.
She's only 9 weeks old and isn't microchipped yet (the vet recommended we wait till we have her spayed - I'm regretting that decision now!) Just off to have another look for her! x |
