I would de-flea the kittens every 4 weeks. As they will be having contact with the outside through Merlin.

Re: how oftehn to de flea a indoor cat

I don't have a combination of outdoor and indoor cats, I have three indoor cats and I de flea every six months.

However my dog goes out for walks etc so I keep an eye on things. If my dog approaches a dead animal, I will de flea all my pets as a precautionary measure.

Provided you use a good de flea treatment every 4 to 6 weeks for your outdoor cats you will only need to de flea your indoor cats every 3 to 6 months depending on the time of year. Summer months I would suggest every three months. Say March, June, September, then again in March the following year.

You would need to monitor them for fleas regularly but no doubt you do that anyway, I do.

Sue

I would say every 4 weeks. My cats do not go outside yet they still managed to get flees a few weeks ago when I let is slip on month, cue lots of vets visits and spraying of the house. Its better to be cautious than have a house full of fleas
