Some advice please

Hey all. I posted here a while back, about my kitten suddenly dying. It was because of a heart condition he was born with. Help.

Anyways. We had 2 kittens, both from the same litter. Since one has passed away, our other kitten which was very timid/nervous has came out of his 'shell' a bit more. Still can be very nervous/scared! But my parents have decided to get another kitten, mainly for company. We dont want our kitten to feel pushed out, nor do we want our 'new' kitten to bully him. How do you think he will get on with a new kitten? We're looking at an animal shelter, a female kitten this time. My dad seems to think a female wouldnt bully him. We aiming for another timid/nervous cat simple because we think they will get along better?

Any advice is welcome!

thanks!

Re: Some advice please

Hi there

I've got no experience with this, so can't give any advice. If you are going to a shelter, get your parents to speak to them, telling them about your kitten - they will know the temperament of the cats in their shelter and will be able to help with what your kitten needs.

Good luck with the search.

Re: Some advice please

Hi, I think getting another kitten would be a good idea and yes probably go for a female this time. I would prob choose one that was a little less shy but not a raving lunatic! lol good luck
