This is a lovely ideas - the pics are great.
My cats were microchipped - it didn't look like it hurt them at all.

You're welcome I had 6, 12 week old kittens microchipped last year before going to their new homes, only 1 made a fuss, but she made a fuss about everything, lol. The others did'nt even notice

I don't think Xito has been microshiped by the breeder, i guess she would have told me, is it common for breeders to do it?

There are some who do do it, but not many....I could'nt do it. Sometimes a breeder will take their stuff to a show and chip kittens/cats really cheap for other breeders

We don't as thus far never had a situation where we've had to consider it plus our vet doesn't like to do it at their leaving home age-but if new slaves want to then thats fineAgain check with your local vets if they did have a cat brought in would they bother to check for a chip as a lot of vets don't

I might wait and not do it yet. I read somewhere that it's better to do it when they get neutered because they'll be under anaesthetics already so no pain for my baby

It's a shame that if a lost cat gets taken to the vet and they don't check it so why do they insert them then?
