Re: advice needed on letting cat out at night
yes she is so she isnt on heat or anything. and there is no other strange behaviour.
thing is I would hate myself if something were to happen to her in the dark evenings before we can fit the cat flap. but I know we need our sleep!!! ![]() |

Re: advice needed on letting cat out at night
Install a cat flap so she can go out during the day - microchip flap is expesive but programmable.
keep her in at night - most rta happen at night. Don't let her out during early evening when dark. Get a litter tray or two. |

Re: advice needed on letting cat out at night
Our cat goes out whenever he wants(unless there is fireworks) and he is really good about not going near the road, you always see him in the field at the back of us but never out the front. He is 11 now and we have never had a cat flap into the house(the dogs sticks his head thru them), although he can get undercover in a conservatory type thing we have cos we have a flap for him there. We leave a bed in their for him on a chair and some dry food so he (and every other cat I think!) can pick at it if he wants.

Not sure about today's cats but bright headlights caused cats to freeze (stand still) so the risk of RTA was higher at night, not sure if that is still the case. Sue |
