Re: Cat breeds - Which would you recommend in this situation?

If you like to visit a cat show where you may see a number of different breeds and talk to their owners/breeders, I can recommend two shows coming up very shortly:

Next week - on Saturday - you can visit the Supreme at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

On 28th November, there is the National Cat Club show, Bracknell Sports & Leisure Centre, Bagshot Road, Bracknell, Berks. RG12 9SE.

You can not purchase a cat at a cat show - just visit and look at them, chat to their breeders and find out more about the breed that you like. If you are interested in buying one, make the arrangement to visit the breeder separately.

If you like, there are other cat shows run by other governing bodies too
Visit the GCCF site which tells you when their clubs' shows are held and TICA to see where and when they have shows. There is also FIFe to look at if you wish.

Good luck.

That might be good!
What are the shows like, do you literally get to walk round and see different cat breeds/get a chance to ask owners questions?
I wouldn't really want to go if it's just a load of companies trying to sell me stuff.
