Re: Not a great start!

I've had a Red Back Spider on my leg and a Funnel-Web spider in my dogs bowl, another Funnel-Web n the past in my tent whilst camping, and Tarantula on the ironing board while I was ironing. Oh, and a Red Back spider crawling across the inside of my car on the windscreen while I was driving, causing me to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road which fortunately was next to a servo that had lots of brave men in overalls who rescued me.

I tell ya, I used to think that the best things about moving to the UK was the lack of spiders, especially deadly ones, but not any more!

And on that note, I'm off to cook dinner

Re: Not a great start!

Its horrible when they are in the car, I once pulled down the sun visor whilst driving and out fell a spider. I screamed myself silly and was trying so hard not to swerve all over the place, managed not to crash, stopped the car in a safe place and promptly vacated said vehicle! Fortunately my friend got rid of it.

My friends are from QLD and every time I visited I would jump every time anything moved! What scares me most is that some of the deadly spiders are small. Yuck funnel-web that sounds terrifying!
