I would welcome an inspection, you could eat your dinner off my worktops Well maybe not, but then, I don't know about anyone else, but I don't actually do any food prep directly onto the worktop, I always use chopping boards etc (which they don't sit on LOL!).

I spoke too soon. Megan got on the worktop today and tried to pinch the raw chicken I was going to cook with. Naughty minx. Haha.

Actually, your kitchen does look spotless, come to mention it. Next question, how do you keep cats off the chopping board? (If there's anything my own cats like better than worktops it's chopping boards.)

Re: cats jumping on worktops please help!!

ya we have chopping boreds but i have no say in witch way the kitchen is not up to me and the choppin boreds stay on the work top.

they are very cute cats, ambercat.

yah my cats only go on the side to get to the sink when there is a bowl in there or sumit or just after we have made food they will jump up to see if there is anything left. but we try and keep the worktops as clean as possible

My cats aren't 'allowed' on the units but they still do it! Cats naturally like to be up high. I prepare food on chopping boards not the surfaces of the units and keep the chopping boards stood up on their sides near the bread bin (for some reason the cats never go over there). A quick spray with a disinfectant on the surfaces and you are ready to rock and roll.

Well, they say a few bugs keep your immune system on its toes, so I don't worry too much (funny how nobody else wants to eat at my house, though). Talking of being high up, Lulu's taken to sitting on top of a wall unit occasionally, right up by the ceiling. It's like a little cat bed inside the cornice (think that's what the tall decorative bit round the side is called).

Re: cats jumping on worktops please help!!

if it was my house i would let them, and just wash the sides down, but its my mums house and if my dad walks in the kitchen and they are on the side they get pushed down and shoed out the door.i know they love to be high witch is why i let them sit on the freezer.

Our two love the kitchen worktops too We've tried water sprays, but they just do it when we're not about instead. We also tried the double sided tape, but that only worked for about a week. And I'm still trying to remove the tape a month later!

WD40 will soften what's left of the glue and you'll just be able to wipe it off. Shame it didn't work, though.
