An update on Mabel
As many of the regulars on here know, I have a rescued feral girl called Mabel. She found a home with us in April 2008 and gave birth to Indy in my garage.
When we got her she had partially healed fractures across much of her body and wouldn't let anyone within 6 feet of her. Indy was 5-6 weeks old when we finally caught her using a humane trap. The vets said her injuries were 7-9 weeks old so she was pregnant when she sustained them, hence there being only one kitten. We think any others were still born. The vet put her age at anywhere from 3-8 years, her teeth fairly damaged.
She was covered in fleas and half starved from trying to raise Indy and barely able to hunt.
Now 19 months later, spayed, well fed, wormed and flea'd... here she is
Please excuse the filthy back door... it was left open during the storms to let Mabel have access to the back porch...
