harmful product....furious!!....who do i contact?

Our kitten has developed, what we believe to be asthma because of a brand of products. We used this product after reading the packaging & seeing that it had no warning whatsoever that it could be dangerous. We have since found evidence on the internet where other peoples animals have become ill &/or died because of this product. We contacted the company who said they weren't willing to do anything, not even change the packaging. How many animals have to fall ill or die before they do something? I've already contacted the rspca, but who else can i contact? I'm absolutely furious & want something good to come out of this situation. If we'd have known, our little man would still be healthy.

trading standers they can do something about it if you can prove it if is harmful to animals or children it must be stated on the packaging

Re: harmful product....furious!!....who do i contact?

That's great, thank you. How would we prove that it's harmful? i guess if our kitten is now confirmed to have asthma or respiratory problems, the vet will be able to confirm that he was in good health when he first visited her. After we realised, we spoke to various friends who have cats & use the product.... amongst feedback was he fact that one cat has asthma from an early age, another cat goes absolutely crazy if the product is anywhere near him....people just don't put two & two together, until it's too late....

Well, personally, i think its only informing people of a possible danger - i wont be passing it on to the company concerned if that helps!?

I've seen quite a few reports of these products being irritating to cats.

If you would like scented products that are safe, do check out my link below (eco friendly products).
