Ring worm in kittens?

I have noticed (last night) a patch of skin on George's back leg/inner thigh area that is raised and slightly scabby and has less fur - could this be ring worm? And if so, how did he catch it as he is an indoor kitten and has yet to have all his jabs and therefore not been outside?! Help! Any advice??

Am going to vets this evening to get it checked out.

thanks,

Re: Ring worm in kittens?

It probably isn't - ringworm is generally seen on the extremeties first. My horrors nearly gave me a heart attack a few weeks ago when I found great scabby patches on the throats of two four week old kittens, but it turned out to be just where Mum had been carrying them around by their throats, poor little things!
